Monthly Teaching Tip: When your student can’t sit still!
The younger the child, the shorter the attention span and the more they squirm!
The obvious way to get their attention is to make things interesting.
- Use examples in their environment
- Incorporate as much color into everything that you can
- Get them out of the chair to find things and touch them
- Include in activities things they like, whether it’s cars or unicorns
- Utilize crayons, Play-Doh, clay, markers, building blocks, slime, etc.
- But most importantly, have fun!
